Senior Business Development Professional
Location: Burlington, ON (candidates willing to commute to Burlington, ON will be given preference)
Compensation: Competitive Base Salary (Depends on experience) + Bonus structure


Our client is a business solutions provider of components and materials for electrical motors, generators & Transformer industry. They offer business solutions to improve the performance of clients, create a more efficient and sustainable electrical energy network. Selling to large complex organizations like ABB, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Our client acts to be a 'trusted advisor' and 'strategic business partner' to the industrial transformer OEM industry. Cogent has developed an envolving and maturing business systems/processes that strengthens their position in the market place and value proposition. The ability for customers to track orders through an extensive tracking system at every stage of the manufacturing process and deliver Electrical - Magnetic steel in the right amount and on-time delivery (every time) are just some of the business solutions they provide.

This Business Development role at our client is a very strategic sales role managing large industrial OEM accounts and moving Cogent's clients from a 'trusted advisor' status to 'strategic partnership' level. This is done by a Consultative and Strategic sales / applications process understanding customers 'mission' and 'values' system and aligning these values to what Cogent would be looking for in their own 'values' and 'mission'.

What we look for?

We are ideally looking for someone who has sold business solutions or business applications to large complex organizations at a senior level. The right candidate would use a consultative strategic sales approach, understand the manufacturing industry and be able to generate and develop business with organizations throughout NAFTA.

The Business Development role will be compensated with a competitive base salary, car allowance and bonus structure combined with an RRSP and Benefits plan. Travel to the USA would be mandatory for this role.
