Manager Corporate Insolvency/Financial Restructuring Advisors, Toronto, Calgary and Montreal
A global advisory company is seeking Sr. Restructuring Professionals for their Toronto, Calgary and Montreal practices.
The Restructuring practice serves as a financial advisor to companies, financial sponsors, lenders, creditors and other interested parties in distressed situations. A restructuring transaction may involve:
  • Acting for stakeholders in      formal court restructuring proceedings
  • An      out-of-court workout
  • Recapitalization     
  • Distressed      M&A
  • Special      situation transaction, such as an exchange offer, debt-for-equity swap or      other negotiation with creditors or interested parties
Services include:
  • Acting      as Financial Advisor to company management, creditors or other stakeholder      involved in a restructuring
  • Acting      in a formal capacity as Monitor or Information Agent under the Companies’      Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA), Receiver under the BIA or other      relevant statute, Trustee in Bankruptcy, Corporate Proposal Trustee,      Liquidator or other appointments under various federal or provincial legislation
  • Conducting      viability assessments and financial/operational business reviews
  • Providing      debt restructuring/refinancing advisory services and distressed M&A
 Candidates’ abilities and other requirements of the job include:

·        Excellent technical insolvency and restructuring skills

·        Ability to plan and manage complex corporate formal and informal mandates with minimal senior supervision.

·        A self-starter, who can work well as part of a team

·        Logical, methodical and commercial approach, combined with strong business diagnostics skills

·        Strong cash flow modeling and forecasting skills

·        Excellent client management skills and relationship development experience

·        Strong oral and written communication skills

·        Well versed in the use of PowerPoint, Word and Excel
.
  Qualifications:

·        Undergraduate degree

·        MBA or CPA designation (accounting designation strongly preferred)

·        Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP), Trustee in Bankruptcy License, or near completion of the program

·        Minimum 6 years’ experience providing corporate restructuring services as described above
